Message decided to get KYBs in the end:

1) cheaper

2) for the koni sports specified for the Z32, the rear shock CANNOT be adjusted on the car. It must be removed and mounted in a vice to make the adjustment.

3) the various adjustment positions are not selectable per se. On the KYBs and Tokicos and a lot of others you can "click" between settings to know where you are. On the Koni's the knob is infinitely adjustable so you're trying to mentally gauge 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn, etc. instead of setting # 1, 2, 3, etc.

I would've been willing to pay more for the Koni's but not at the inconvenience from points 2 and 3.
